Man Seeking Wife

When I saw her, walk into the room,
I knew, I needed her.
I tell myself, leave her alone,
She’ll only, break your heart.

But I’m a man, and I’m alone,
I need someone to hold,
And call my own.

I know, I should’ve,
Learned by now.
But when I see her smile,
My heart melts.
Please don’t leave too soon.

Still Single? Here’s The REAL Reason Why w/ RC Blakes (Men Its Our Fault?)

Top 3 viewer comments:

  1. “Males are hard wired with a higher capacity for love: physical (flesh), emotional (compassionate) and spiritual (faith). Female love is physical (flesh) and emotional (patriotism) only. Men who are separated from a spouse (when she’s obliged to leave) are several times more lightly to break down emotionally versus women. The reason for this is because a husband is supposed to be invested in his wife and kids, to insure his generations will continue. Women on the other hand must be resilient, because the show must go on, with her leading man if possible, but if not with his understudy and so forth.”
  2. “I was in a beautiful relationship. I shared with her, some of my insecurities as the relationship grew deeper, however that eroded her interest in me over time. She had been an amazing partner and friend up to that day? After that turn of events, I sat down with my mom and explained to her what had happened to us, she immediately told me: ‘that I had made a huge mistake, and that I should now be mature enough to know, that you never share your insecurities or weaknesses with a girl, no matter how much love you believe exists in the relationship, she’ll lose interest, if she’s a good girl; or use it against you, if she’s a bad one’. Advice from a woman that had decades of successful marriage with my dad. Ignore all those female dating coaches that tell you to be emotionally open, share your pain, etc. I found out the hard way, that a man is absolutely never supposed to show vulnerability in front of women, because they just don’t understand!”
  3. “She is challenging him, that’s disrespectful to him. Why should anyone be entitled to challenge anyone, if not to shame or disregard their opinion, values and ideas. If he allows her to challenge him, she wouldn’t care about, what he has to say and wouldn’t even try to understand why he thinks that way. Because he will say whatever she wants to hear and will become submissive. She will be the one leading the conversation and ultimately the relationship to its end, when she looses interest in him.”

Why WOMEN DON’T APOLOGIZE: understanding the nature of the problem

Commentary: The hardest lesson every young adult has to learn is that they are not the main character in everybody’s story. You are the protagonist of your own story, and all things considered, you were the main character in your enabling parent’s story, but now that you’ve grown up, you’re not. So no matter how much you want to be the main character in somebody’s story, your only fooling yourself, because until you are in a legitimate, committed family relationship, your wishful thinking doesn’t really matter to anybody.

Looking For Love

When I saw her, walk into the room,
I knew, I needed her.
I tell myself, leave her alone,

And call my own.

Please don’t leave too soon.

When I saw her, walk into the room,
I knew, I needed her.
I tell myself, leave her alone,
She’ll only, break your heart.

But I’m a man, what can I do,
When I see someone,
As beautiful as you?

I know I should’ve,
Learned by now.
But when I hear your voice,
My heart melts.
Please don’t leave too soon.

Why So Many Women Are Single (Men Don’t Want Relationships?)

Commentary: When you love somebody, you receive joy by giving tangible gifts to your loved one. The only way to make human interactions is through fiscal transactions. However, if you become broke, you can’t give anything of value anymore—so what can you do, to let your loved ones know—you’re thinking about them? You could offer them your time, but after a while, you’d become annoying and nobody would want you around, especially if you have your own opinions. In the end your heart would have to move on, along with your love for them, causing your heart to become jaded, because it was only being used for gain.

“I used to believe in me, but that was before I could see, that it didn’t matter, unless you also believed, in me.” By: ElRoyPoet

“One of the problems is that a lot of toxic relationship habits are baked into our culture. We worship romantic love—you know, that dizzying and irrational kind. Men and women are encouraged to objectify each other and to objectify their romantic relationships. Thus, our partners are often seen as achievements or prizes rather than someone to share mutual emotional support.” Excerpts from 6 Toxic Relationship Habits Most People Think Are Normal

“Why is it, that you can’t make yourself happy, but you still believe, somebody else can; even if it’s a lie, and even if it’s just for a little while?” By: ElRoyPoet

“Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life.” Bible, Proverbs 31:10-13

“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14

Peace On Earth

I heard the bells on Christmas day,
Their old familiar carols play,
And mild and sweet, their songs repeat,
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

And in despair I bowed my head,
There is no peace on earth I said,
For hate is strong, and mocks the song,
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

Then I heard, my better angels say:
“Your new life will begin today,
For Hope is long, you’ll carry on,
To peace on earth, good will to men.”

Then rang the bells more loud and deep,
God is not dead, nor does he sleep,
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men.

Then ringing singing on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime, a chant sublime,
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

Excerpt from Poem “Christmas Bells” by: Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, 1863
Third stanza added by: ElRoyPoet, 2019

“Our Savior is the Good Shepherd, seeking, gathering, and delivering all from the four corners of the earth. He calls us by name to follow Him and desires us to invite others to do the same. This Christmas, I testify of Him, the perfect Lamb of God, who has gathered followers since the night of His birth. May we all find the peace, purpose, healing, and joy that comes from following Him during this holiday season.” By: Gerrit W. Gong

“I am loath to close. We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.” By: Abraham Lincoln

Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.’ And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!’
So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us. And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.” Bible, Luke 2:8-20

Patriot Revolution

You say you wanna new revolution—
Well—you know,
We all want to change the world,
You tell me that it’s restitution—
Well—you know,
We all want to change the world—

But when you talk about destruction—
Don’t you know that you can count me out,
Don’t you know you’re gonna be,
alt-right, alt-right, alt-right,

You say you got a real solution—
Well—you know,
We’ve all heard your lies before,
You ask me for a contribution—
Well—you know,
We’re all doing what we can—

But if you want money for commies with minds that hate,
All I can tell you comrade you’re way too late,
Don’t you know you’re gonna be,
alt-right, alt-right, alt-right,

You tell me change the constitution—
Well—you know,
We all want to change your head,
You say it’s the vote institution—
Well—you know,
You better cast your vote instead,

But if you go round carrying flags for your cult leader,
You ain’t going to make the state more united either,
Don’t you know you’re gonna be,
alt-right, alt-right, alt-right!

“Both Democrats and Republicans are rapidly losing faith in the integrity of U.S. elections. Democrats worry that voter suppression and election interference from Republican state officials will deny millions of Americans their say at the polling booths. A PBS NewsHour/NPR/ Marist poll in early November reported that 55 percent of Democrats saw voter suppression as the biggest threat to U.S. elections. Republicans claim, contrary to the evidence, that Democrats have already manipulated vote counts through fraud to steal a presidential election. An October CNN poll found that more than three-quarters of Republicans falsely believe Joe Biden’s 2020 election win was fraudulent.”

Get Together

Love is but a song we sing—
Fear’s the way we die.
You can make the mountains ring
Or make the angels cry.
Though the bird is on the wing
And you may not know why.

Some may come and some may go—
He will surely pass.
When the One Who left us here,
Returns for us at last.
We are but a moment’s sunlight—
Fading in the grass.

If you hear the song I sing—
You will understand, listen.
You hold the key to love and fear—
All in your trembling hand.
Just one key unlocks them both—
It’s there at your command.

Come on, people now;
Smile on your brother;
Everybody get together;
Try to love one another right now.

I said come on, people now;
Smile on your brother;
Everybody get together;
Try to love one another right now.

The Youngbloods – Get Together (Acoustic Cover by: Amir Darzi and Lital Regev)

Commentary: I’m one of the lucky ones—whose life was touched by this 1960’s love-and-peace anthem—I have formed my core beliefs on this notion of liberty for all. The message still rings true in my heart now, as it did back then. This song came out at a time when America was blowing apart—riots in the streets; civil-rights and Vietnam raging; neighbor kids drafted and sent to war—never to return; and families failing because of generational differences. It was a turbulent time in the USA, and many people thought their country was on the verge of becoming a failed state. Even though our current crisis in the 2020’s sound like a replay of the panic that existed approximately 50 years ago—some of us still believe, we can fix the world, and make it better. If not for us, for our children and grand-kids.

“What do the lyrics mean to me? Well, first we can see that this song is appealing to peace and brotherly love. Another interesting part of the song shows the polarity of love versus fear. The song is telling us here that fear and love have to be dealt with together. If we can deal with them together, we will be at peace during our brief stay on earth and when we die.
By 1969 when ‘Get Together’ was re-released, there was a lot of fear and hatred not only in the United States but in other places around the world. In the United States, there was a lot of fear and hate towards all Communists… Remember at that time in history, the U.S. was locked in a bitter cold war with the Russian and Chinese Communists.
Domestically, there was fear and hatred between the races, and also between the establishment and war protesters as evidenced by racial riots in American cities and the Kent State student shootings on May 4, 1970. In 1969, America needed to get together and try to love one another.
There was also a lot of fear in other places around the world… How can we forget the fear and hatred between the Arabs and the Jews which was manifested in the 1967 War?
The song ‘Get Together’, however, undoubtedly is directed toward the United States and is primarily concerned with ending the fear, hatred, and killing between the Americans…” Excerpt from The Meaning of “Get Together” by The Youngbloods

“The world has enough for everyone’s need, but not enough for everyone’s greed.” By: Mahatma Gandhi

“Ignorance breeds fear. We fear those things we don’t understand. If we don’t put a lid on that fear and keep that fear in check, that fear in turn will breed hatred because we hate those things that frighten us. “If we don’t keep that hatred in check, that hatred in turn will breed destruction.” By: Daryl Davis

“We must come to see that the end we seek is a society at peace with itself, a society that can live with its conscience.” By: Martin Luther King, Jr.

Three Temptations That Destroy Community

Perpetual Lottery

People say: I would be happy if…

I had a better job.
I had somebody to love.
I could move to another state.

But how do you know,
If you haven’t experienced
It before?

And how do you know,
That you still wouldn’t
Feel frustrated?

Oh, you already know,
Because you’ve tried it before?

Well you know what they say,
Third time is a charm!

But if that doesn’t work out,
You can always try to be happy,

On your own terms…

Listen to Sidewalk Prophets—The Words I Would Say song

“The idea of a ‘true self’ and a ‘false’ or ‘shadow’ self has long preoccupied psychologists. For example, Carl Jung introduced the notion of the shadow side of our personality. He viewed “the shadow” as our unknown, dark side—made up of the primitive, negative, socially depreciated human emotions such as sexuality, striving for power, selfishness, greed, envy, jealousy, and anger. But although the shadow personifies everything that we fear, and therefore refuse to acknowledge, it remains a part of us. Jung believed that unless we come to terms with our shadow side, we are condemned to become its unwitting victim.”
